The format

How a SYNCubator Sunday runs

Doors at two, last set at five. Twelve fifteen-minute slots, split across two age categories, with a clinic from a working DJ in the middle of the afternoon. Free to play, free to watch.

01

Apply online

Fill in the form with your age, city and a link to anything you have recorded. A mix link helps but it is not required — plenty of people arrive having only ever played to their bedroom wall.

02

Get your slot confirmed

We email you a time, a category and the running order by the Friday. Under 16s get a copy sent to a parent or guardian at the same time.

03

Load a USB

Drop your tracks onto a memory stick in a single folder. Analyse them in rekordbox first if you can; if you cannot, we will do it with you on the day.

04

Play your fifteen

Two decks, a mixer, a real system and a real crowd. Nobody is expecting a flawless set — this is the room where you are allowed to get it wrong.

05

Get feedback and footage

The resident pro gives you notes straight after. Your set gets filmed vertically and sent to you for your own channels.

06

Go for the win

Each Sunday has a winner per category. Winners come back for the finals, and the overall winner plays a warm-up set on a Friday or Saturday night at Bonobo.
